NAGA Tournament Results on December 19th in Fort Worth, Tx

The tournament had a lot of good competitors and a lot of them. It started at 11:30am and ended at 9pm. Here are the results of our team:

1. Rommel Aleman- 2nd place no-gi novice division, 2nd place white belt gi division

2. Richard “Adam” Copley- 2nd place white belt gi division

3. Albert Rodriguez- 3rd place gi white belt division

4. John “Jr” Villalobos- white belt gi division- he won 2 matches and tied the third match 2 to 2, but lost on referees decision. He wouId have had at least 3rd place if he had won that match.

5. Ryan Peek- 1st place no-gi beginners division, 1st place white belt gi division

Congratulations to all of these guys! Be ready to train harder for 2010!!

The tournament had a lot of high caliber competitors and here are the results:

1. Damian Cantu- (Kids Gi Div.) lost on points; nearly had an armbar to win but time expired

2. Devin McCall- (Kids Gi Div.) First tournament. Lost on points; valiant effort for not training much.

3. Alex Covarrubius- (Kids No-Gi Div.) 2nd  place

4. Jonathan Mears- (Teen Advanced No-Gi Div.) 2nd place; competed while sick; showed a lot of heart.

5. Cameron Lee- (Teen Advance Gi Div.) 3rd place and (Adult Gi Div.) 2nd place; very hard fought match

6. Clayton Mouser (Teen Novice No-Gi Div.)- 1st place; very technical matches

7. Matthew Petters (Teen Novice Gi Div.)- 2nd place; Matt is back in action

8. Darren McCall II (Teen Beginner Gi Div.)- 1st place; controlled the action and swept well

9. Sabastian Manzi (Teen Beginner Gi Div.)- 2nd place; technical escapes and control

10.  Aaron Glynn-  (Adult Gi Div.)- First tournament and 2nd place, lost by a point; great effort for minimal training.

11. Rommel Aleman (Adult Beginner Gi Div.)-  First tournament. 2nd place (Adult Gi Div.) and (Adult No-Gi Div.)- 1st place

NAGA/Europa Show Results

The NAGA was held on August 15, 2009 in Dallas, Tx.  The event was really good and the turn out was excellent. Our school was represented by Damian Cantu, Alex Covarrubius, Darren McCall II, and John “Jr.” Villalobos.  These guys did a great job and a huge congratulation goes out to:

Darren McCall II – 1st place in beginner gi division

John Villalobos- 2nd place in the novice no-gi division 

Guys keep training hard and good things will continue to happen!!
